Chief of Staff to Mongolian President resigns

Mr. Z.Enkhbold, Chief of Staff of President Kh.Battulga announced earlier today (13 February) that he is resigning. According to a reliable source, Z.Enkhbold is preparing to stand as a candidate in the parliamentary election which will be held in June. After standing down from his current post, Z.Enkhbold will advise S.Erdene, leader of the Democratic Party of Mongolia.

U.Shijir, leader of Mongolian Football Federation will be appointed as Chief of Staff of President succeeding Z.Enkhbold.

Immediately after his inauguration ceremony in 2017, President Kh.Battulga assigned former Parliament Speaker Z.Enkhbold as his Chief of Staff.
