The National Agency of Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring has issued an extreme cold weather warning across Mongolia for next three days. According to the NAMEM, snow and blizzards are expected in parts of Zavkhan, Khuvsgul, Arkhangia and Bulgan provinces.
Today, it is snowing in Ulaanbaatar and daytime temperatures have fallen to -3-5 C from yesterday’s unusually mild +3 C.
In the provinces listed, wind speeds are expected to reach up to 5-10 meter per second.
