The Mongolian Health Ministry reported today (12 February) that over 20 people have been isolated in the Uvurkhangai, Khuvsgul and Orkhon Provinces with symptoms of coronavirus.

Furthermore, a total of 106 people – including railway workers – have been isolated in a train in Dornogobi Province of Mongolia after one passenger had a high temperature of 37.4C. The train arrived at Zamyn-Uud border crossing from Huhhot, Inner Mongolia at 08.00 p.m. on 11 February. The suspected passenger was returning to Mongolia after having been working in China’s Sichuan Province for 14 days.

Mongolia also halted coal deliveries to China after 12 truck drivers were isolated at Gashuun Sukhait border crossing with suspected symptoms. Their tests were negative on coronavirus, but they will stay in quarantine for 14 days.

Also, 31 Mongolian students evacuated from Wuhan are still in quarantine with good health.
