Rail services between Beijing-Ulaanbaatar-Moscow have been stopped from today, (6 February) at the request of the Russian Federation. As concern over coronavirus increases, Mongolian transportation officials have also warned Mongolian passengers not to travel to China by plane of train. If a person absolutely must travel, they should get permission from the General Authority for Border Protection.

Previously, Russia has ordered the closure of its huge land border with China as Moscow scrambles to prevent the deadly coronavirus infection spreading from its southern neighbour. In addition, Russia has announced some border restrictions with Mongolia.
