On Wednesday, the government’s press office announced the approval of a national programme to bolster innovation.

The new initiative aims to develop a foundation and infrastructure framework for an innovation system, to empower human resources, develop products in the manufacturing and services sectors. The programme will also strengthen the social services, as well as develop cooperation for innovation in science.

The Mongolian government, local governments and other sources will cover the necessary costs to implement the programme from 2020 to 2024.
