In response to the Wuhan coronavirus threat, the Mongolian Government announced a full quarantine for universities, secondary schools and kindergartens nationwide from Monday (27 January) until 2 March. In addition, public events are banned and places of mass gathering from gaming centres to cinemas will be closed during the quarantine period.
Yo.Baatarbileg, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports issued decree that the secondary school curriculum would be taught by television during the quarantine. Mongolia’s first private news site, www.news.mn has proposed to cooperate with the various agencies in delivering lessons to pupils and students during this period.
