Mongolian automotive company, ‘Bars Motors’ announced that their new midsize SUV named ‘MOZO’ will be introduced in Ulaanbaatar next month. It is the first ever car to be produced by a Mongolian company. ‘Bars Motors’ opened a joint automotive plant in Hangzhou in south-west China in December for the production the ‘MOZO’. The Hangzhou plant has an annual capacity of 25 thousand cars; the company has plans to produce pure electric cars starting from next year.
The MOZO, means ‘Mongolian people’, explained the company representatives. Bars Motors plans to launch the product and take advance orders at an open-door event in February after testing has been completed. MOZO is currently undergoing tests for extreme temperature operation and fuel efficiency.
Statistics show that Mongolia spends USD 500 to 800 million on buying cars every year.
