With the new international airport in Khushig Valley coming into operation this year, the national capacity for air traffic is expected to increase by over 40 percent. This will help enable Mongolia to fulfill its action plan to receive one million tourists.

Mongolia’s first cargo aircraft, a Boeing 737-700, began operation from Chinggis Khaan International Airport at Buyant-Ukhaa, just outside Ulaanbaatar, from July, 2019. Mongolia now makes cargo flights to Moscow, Beijing, Tokyo, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hohhot, Seoul, Hong Kong, Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude and the countries of Central Asia.
