A ton of fuel oil has been spilled on a road near the Third State Central Hospital in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. According to the National Emergency Management Agency, the spill has covered a 5-meter area. NEMA officers have worked to drain the spilled fuel.
Mongolia imports more than 97 percent of fuel from Russia. Currently the country is constructing its first oil refinery, with financial support from India, which, when operational, will end the fuel oil dependency on its ‘northern neighbour’.
