Para Powerlifting World Champion E.Sodnompiljee was awarded Honourary Citizenship of Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia on 17 December. He has become the 19^th individual to receive the award for his contribution in advertising Mongolia to the world and setting a new world records in para power lifting sport.

To date, a total of 18 people have been awarded Honorary Citizenship of Ulaanbaatar.

In September, bronze medalist of Rio 2016 Paralympics, two times World Champion E.Sodnompiljee renewed the world record for lifting  248 kg in the men’s 105 kg raw of the 2019 Asian Classic and Equipped Bench Press Championship.
