Mongolia aims to obtain International Cricket Council licence

Believe it or not, cricket is enjoying a sharp rise in popularity in Mongolia. Hundreds of youngsters grab their bat and ball to play cricket each weekend in cities and provinces across Mongolia. At a national level, the process is under way to obtain an International Cricket Council licence.

G.Battulga, president of Mongolian Cricket Association, has visited Australia this week to learn more about the administrative side of the sport.

Coach Davaa, gives sessions in Ulaanbaatar as well as in provinces including Arkhangai, Bayankhongor, Darkhan, Khenti, Umungobi and Uvurkhangai. Having played for less than a year, Bayanhongor Province came second in the National Youth Games in September 2019, after Khan Uul District, which has been playing for six years now. Davaa has now held over 650 coaching sessions in Mongolia!
