It has long become a New Year’s tradition that the famous ballet the ‘Nutcracker’, (Russian ‘Shchelkunchik’) by Pyotr Tchaikovsky is performed at the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Mongolia (NATOB). This year, D.Altankhuyag, State Honoured Artist and Head of the Mongolian Ballet Development Foundation is cooperating with ballerinas from NATOB to perform this classic in an American style production. The ballet will be performed on 20 December.

Mr. D.Altankhuyag said that the Foundation has held discussions with the Ulaanbaatar City Administration and cultural figures into ways to provide opportunities for children from vulnerable groups to watch the ballet.
