Recently, Mongolia and Kazakhstan have been increasingly cooperating in the fields of culture and education. On Tuesday 12 November, Mr Yo.Baatarbileg, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports had a meeting with H.E. Zhalgas Adilbayev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan. During their discussion, the minister requested Kazakh cooperation in providing assistance with pre-school and special-need schools; in particular curriculum development, improving the legal environment for staff and teacher training for long and short periods. This comes in the context of a bilateral agreement on the mutual acceptance of educational documents, recognition of academic ranks and degrees as well as increasing the number of students to study with Kazakhstan scholarships has to 25.
Another topic on the agenda, was exchanging views on cooperation possibilities for conducting joint historical and archaeological research. They then went on to discuss jointly publishing scholarly works, artistic cooperation and sharing best practice for sports training.
