Former world champion M.Urantsetseg from Mongolia is to bid for glory again – this time in Abu Dhabi. The IJF Grand Slam has started on Thursday and will run until 26 October. The competition has huge pool awards; for example, the winners will be awarded USD 5000.

M.Urantsetseg will compete in the -52 kg weight category. Previously, she competed in the -48 kg weight category.

Mongolia have shuffled their backroom staff following its disappointing World Judo Championships and return to Grand Slam action after a two-week training camp in Erdenet, which introduced English lessons for the judoka and coaches.
