Educational support for Mongolian children in foreign countries

Over 180,000 Mongolians currently live or study in foreign countries. There are 40,000 Mongolians in the USA and the same number in South Korea as well as many in Europe. Mongolians living in foreign countries often worry about their children being unable to learn their native language and culture. So, the Mongolian Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports is planning to establish more Mongolian language and culture centers and a research fund for children.

At the end of last year, a total of 55 Mongolian language and culture centres were operating in 18 countries. The Ministry has also established a school for Mongolian children living in South Korea. Now, the school has over 300 students and 16 teachers.
