A film named ‘Khiimori’, the Mongolian for ‘wind horse’ inspired by a poem ‘Brown Horse’ written by the famous poet Ch.Lkhamsuren is to be nominated for an Oscar. According to one source, the film, which is about a race horse, has qualified the Oscar nomination process. Previously, ‘Khiimori’ won the Spirit of Cinema Award from the Oldenburg Film Festival and was well received at the San Diego International Film Festival.

The film by director G.Erdenebileg stars prominent actors including P.Tserendagva, D.Mendbayar, Ts.Tserenbold and B.Yalalt as well as artists from Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan.

The film premiered in January, 2019.
