Mongolia will hold a parliamentary election next year. Earlier today (23 September), a round-table meeting under the theme of ‘Law on Elections and Press’ too place at the Blue Sky Hotel.
The General Election Law regulated elections in 2016 and 2016. This year, the law is being divided into three sub-laws for the Presidential Election, Parliamentary Election and Local Legislative Election.
Furthermore, the length of election campaign has been extended from 17 days to 21 days. Also, the duration of election advertisements and broadcasts on television and radio has been extended to 120 minutes.
Individuals and parties have to get approval from the Communications Regulatory Commission of Mongolia to create or to manage social pages during the election campaign.
