Earlier today (23 September), Mongolian Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh visited the Erdenet Mining Corporation, one of the biggest ore mining and processing plants in Asia. Currently, he is working in Orkhon Province with various officials.

PM U.Khurelsukh was welcomed by officials led by Kh.Badamsuren, Chief Executive of the Board of Erdenet MC.

Following recent geological research and analysis, the projected ‘lifespan’ of the company has been extended by 60 years.

The Erdenet Company processes 36 million tonnes of ore per year; 31.5 million tonnes of ore is enriched by the flotation process.
