‘Gobi Wolf’ is a civil-military disaster preparedness and response initiative that focuses on regional readiness to respond to natural and man-made disasters. The annual exercise is co-organized by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the U.S. Embassy in Mongolia and U.S. Pacific Command.
Over 500 participants from 21 countries such as Australia, Canada, France, Nepal, Turkey, UK, Bangladesh, Thailand, Tajikistan, Vietnam as well as delegates from UN Agencies and international organisations are involved in the Gobi Wolf-2019. The exercise is being held in Dornod Province in southern Mongolia.
Gobi Wolf has been expanded to an international platform of disaster preparedness and response during the four years since it was launched.
