A 41-year-old British man was arrested yesterday (16 September) in Ulaanbaatar, for allegedly being in possession of drugs. According to the Mongolian Police’s Narcotics Department, drug tests proved he had been using them. He has been banned from leaving the country and is currently being investigated by the police.
The British man arrived in Mongolia in August to teach English at a private school in Ulaanbaatar.
Previously, a Nigerian was arrested for alleged drug trafficking in January after having receiving a huge shipment of drugs by standard mail! He was also employed at a language centre in Ulaanbaatar.
