The first snow of the year has fallen in the Malchin Soum of Uvs Province, in western Mongolia. In this mountainous region, there was a 5 cm covering of snow. The Metrological Agency reported that today is cloudy and 10 Celsius, which it is colder than normal due to the early snow.

Herders and farmers are being warned to expect an early winter.
