On Wednesday 11 September, a sub-programme entitled ‘Child Friendly Ulaanbaatar’ was approved at a meeting of the Citizens’ Representative Khural (Council). The sub-programme was presented by Khural member Ts.Odontungalag.

The sub-programme has 15 goals. These include: making sure all children attend school, introducing two shifts every day in the schools to ensure high quality and standardised education to all pupils, and to increase the enrollment of children with disabilities by 20 percent.

A half of all Mongolian children live in the capital Ulaanbaatar capital.
