Mongolian veterinary specialists will be able to participate in advanced training in the Federal Republic of Germany. The issue was discussed at a meeting between Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Ch.Ulaan and Parliamentary State Secretary of Germany’s Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture Hans-Joachim Fuchtel.
Minister Ch.Ulaan made proposals to cooperate with Germany in manufacturing bioorganic products and creating tangible conditions to certify and export organic foods. In addition, the minister asked for assistance in developing cooperation in the veterinary sector, especially in retraining vets and upskilling the workforce in animal skin and hide processing and manufacturing, as well as irrigated agriculture and food safety.
In order to promote SME’s and domestic manufacture, the sides agreed to seek opportunities for introducing the latest German technologies for processing and producing meat products and milk products – especially, cheese and mare’s milk products – as well as finding long-term investment and sources of financing for importing equipment necessary for processing raw materials of animal origin.
