A total of 2259 students will study at the National University of Mongolia (NUM), the oldest university in the country, during the 2018-2019 academic year. In addition, 492 international students from 19 countries have chosen to enroll at the NUM.
The NUM was established in 1942 with just over 150 students; it was originally named in honour of Marshal Khorloogiin Choibalsan, whose statue stands outside its main building on Ulaanbaatar’s Baga Toiruu.
