Canadian father and son travellers, Khobe and Jamie Clarke, have recently climbed to the peak of Mount Khuiten, one of the summits of the Altai Tavan Bogd Mountains. Dubbed ‘Expedition Mongolia’, the pair departed from Calgary late July.
‘I have been wanted to do this for many years, waiting for the time when I could come with my son – and here we are. My son recently finished high school and he is 18 years old, while I am a 51-year-old man making my dreams come true. As for why Mongolia specifically, it was my curiosity in learning about how the nomadic way of life and traditions exist in this great vast land’ said Jamie Clarke at an interview with the Mongolian News Agency.
Adventure is no stranger to Jamie, who has scaled Everest twice, taken on the Seven Summits and even crossed Arabia’s Empty Quarter by camel.
