Mongolia produces a third of the global supply of cashmere; this is an important source of revenue making up 40 percent of the country’s nonmineral exports.

Mongolian cashmere producers have been participating in the Apparel Textile Sourcing Canada-2019; particular mention can be made of Byalag Ulzii LLC, Cashmere holding LLC, Saintumen cashmere LLC and Suvd cashmere LLC which showcased their products at the exhibition that brings together over 5000 buyers from 15 countries including sourcing directors, designers, merchandisers, retail chains, and department stores.

The Mongolian producers promoted their high quality and warm yak down and cashmere collection to potential Canadian and international buyers, turning their booths into some of the busiest and most engaged.
