The family of a police officer I.Erdeneshagai, who died trying to save a woman’s life will receive MNT 100 million from the Mongolian Government. Officer I.Erdeneshagai drowned on 2 July in Bayan-Ulgii Province while trying to save a woman who was attempting suicide in the Khovd River. The government has decided to provide compensation to his family to help buy an apartment.

Also, an officer from the Mongolian National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) will receive MNT 100 million from Government Funds for medical treatment.  E.Unenbat was seriously burned while trying to extinguish a forest fire in Bulgan Province. Her family asked for financial help for his treatment at a press conference in Ulaanbaatar last month.
