Mongolian President Kh.Battulga has visited National Aeronautics and Space Administration of the United States and held a meeting with NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine.
At the meeting, which comes just after the 50th anniversary of the Moon Landing, President Kh.Battulga requested Administrator Bridenstine to train a Mongolian woman astronaut at NASA and develop cooperation. Mongolia has already had one man in space; Kh.Battulga noted that in 1981 J.Gurragchaa, an officer in the Mongolian Airforce participated in a Soviet space mission on ‘Soyuz-39’ spaceship.
Noting the ample opportunities for cooperation in astronomy and geophysics, the President invited Mr. Jim Bridenstine to make a visit to Mongolia.
