Criminal proceedings have begun for six children who escaped from Detention Center No. 411 in Zaisan. The children are being charged with escape during a detention period, under Article 263.2 of the Criminal Law. They are alleged to have escaped as a group. Each now faces an additional three years or more in detention. Two of the children who allegedly stole a horse after escaping face even longer sentences. Four of the escapees were incarcerated for stealing, one for robbery, and one for rape.
