Mongolia has established a foundation to provide financial assistance to athletes.

Mongolian Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh said: ‘The new foundation will provide financial support to the athletes during an event dedicated to Olympic Day (23 June). The foundation called the “Tokyo Olympics Foundation” will help athletes to solve their financial problems by organizing fundraising campaigns.’

Mongolia has set a goal to win at least six medals in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Previously, Mongolia did very well at the 2012 London Olympics with a record-high five medal haul of two silvers and three bronzes.
