Up stepped captain N.Tsedenbal, a midfielder of Blue Wolves, to whip home a brilliant left-footed effort into the far corner. It will be remembered as the first goal of the World Cup 2022 for Asia.

N.Nyam-Osor added a second for Mongolia, recorded a 2-0 win over Brunei. The two sides will head to Bandar Seri Begawan for the second leg next Tuesday.
