More than 800 motorcyclists, including 200 from China and Russia paraded on the streets of Ulaanbaatar on Saturday. The ‘Steppe Wind’, an international motorsports festival started from the Central Square and headed east towards the Chinggis Khaan Statute complex which is situated 54 kilometers from the capital. Previously, it reported that Mongolian Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh would lead the parade, however, this year he had other engagements.
The event was co-organized by the Ulaanbaatar governor’s office , the city’s tourism department and the “Mongolian Choppers Brotherhood”.
A performance of 300 motorcycles as well as famous Mongolian rock bands including the Hu, Bulsara and Rapper Gee along with contortionists and circus acts took place free of charge in the field of the moto festival.
