The ‘Country of the Eternal Blue Sky’ is a documentary about Mongolia by Russian director Vsevolod Amelin. The film premiered in the city of Veliky Novgorod on 4 June. Amelin aims were to capture Mongolia’s extraordinary natural beauty, historical sites and the Gobi desert which is home to some of the world’s most outstanding dinosaur remains. The film also presents Mongolia’s remarkable capital, Ulaanbaatar.
Vsevolod Amelin travelled a total of 5000 km through Mongolia and spending nights in traditional Mongol gers (yurts) with herder families. He said that during the journey, he faced some difficulties related to sudden weather changes or harsh temperature.
