Two families from Baruun-Urt soum of Sukhbaatar have received a gift from Mongolian traditional wrestler Sh.Mungunbaatar. On the occasion of International Children’s Day, he has presented gers, also known as yurts, which are the traditional round-shaped dwellings, to two families in his hometown.
Sh.Mungunbaatar, who holds the honour of being a ‘national hawk’ won the traditional wrestling competition at Tsagaan Sar (White Moon) Festival in 2011 when he was still a ‘falcon’. Subsequently, he won the title of hawk after winning six wrestling contests at the Naadam Festival.
