An outbreak of tuberculosis has hit a Mongolian secondary school infecting over 500 children. The 15th school in the Khan-Uul District of Ulaanbaatar has 1710 pupils, 529 of whom have been diagnosed with tuberculosis. At present, 38 children are already began taking antibiotics against the disease. According to some sources, the infection all started with one teacher who contracted tuberculosis two years ago.
The building of the 15th school was constructed in 1974 and has poor air circulation.
