The Traffic Police Authority reported today (10 May) that they received a total of 1102 calls regarding road accidents in five days between 6 and 10 May. A total of 42 people were injured in road accidents in Ulaanbaatar and one person died in the provinces. In addition, it was noted that 14 children were injured in road accidents in last five days alone in Ulaanbaatar.
According to international statistics, Mongolia is one of the world leaders of traffic-related deaths: In 2018, a total of 375 children died in road accidents, many more suffered life-changing injuries.
