Two people in an intercity bus died and four others were injured in Zavkhan Province in the early hours of Wednesday (1 May) after the vehicle collided with a Zil 131 truck. The victims were two men aged 16 and 57.

The intercity bus was travelling from the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar, to Ulaangom in Uvs Province when the tragedy occurred. The accident took place in Bumbat, 22 km from Tosontsengel Soum.

A total of 45 people has been travelling in the bus.
