The National Statistics Office has released some data on the occasion of World Twins Day which is celebrated on 1 May.

There were 1760 twins and 41 triplets in Mongolia in 2018. Also, during the first three months of 2019, a total of 445 twins and triplets were born in the country.

Under Mongolian law, a one-off benefit of MNT 1,000,000 (USD 379) is paid for each twin; so, between them triplets receive MNT 3,000,000 (USD 1137).
