UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights Michel Forst is undertaking a mission to Mongolia from 30 April to 13 May. He will visit the capital city Ulaanbaatar, as well as the Airag and Ulaanbadrakh Soums of Dornogobi Province. Mr Forst will also meet the Speaker of Parliament, Cabinet Members, the heads of the Administrative Court, the State General Prosecutor’s Office, the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar, the National Data Centre and General Authority for Intellectual Property and State Registration.
Mr Forst will submit his conclusions on Mongolia’s human rights situation at the 43rd session of UN Commission on Human Rights which to be held on March, 2020.
Mongolia first sent invitations to UN human right commissioners and special rapporteurs to visit the country in 2004.
