A Mongolian athlete has become world champion in Abu Dhabi where the World Jiu Jitsu Championships is being held. B.Khulan (women’s 70 kg) from the Genco Academy has become the first Mongolian to win a gold medal in blue belt.
In the Brazilian jiu-jitsu ranking system, the blue belt is the second highest which an adult athlete can achieve; the ultimate is the white belt.
Athletes from more than 100 countries are competing in the championships in the UAE which will run until 26 April.
As for the second day, the Mongolian team won a further five medals from the championships.
