The first ever policy consultation between the foreign ministries of Mongolia and China was held in Ulaanbaatar on 15 April.

The meeting was co-chaired by Policy & Planning Department Director Mr. Sh. Odonbaatar, Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and Sun Weidong, Director-General of the Policy Planning Department of the Foreign Ministry of China. At the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the current level of cooperation and relations between Mongolia and China as well as issues on regional and international relations.

After that, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs D.Davaasuren received the Chinese delegates and discussed upcoming events for marking the 70^th anniversary of the establishment of relations between the two countries. During the meeting, Mr. D.Davaasuren noted that friendly neighbourly relations between Mongolia and China have been developing in all sectors due to their comprehensive strategic partnership.
