Mongolian Foreign Minister D.Tsogtbaatar held talks with Chinese counterpart  Wang Yi  in Beijing on Tuesday.

During the meeting, Wang Yi said: “China and Mongolia, having maintained diplomatic ties for 70 years, are facing important opportunities for the further development of bilateral relations.”

“The two sides should maintain close high-level exchanges, align the Belt and Road Initiative with Mongolia’s development strategy, carry out aid projects regarding development and people’s livelihood, facilitate the implementation of major projects on energy and mineral resources, and deepen cooperation in various fields,” the Chinese Foreign Minister said.

In return, Mongolia is willing to work with China to push forward cooperation projects on agriculture and animal husbandry, mining, energy, transportation and infrastructure within the framework of Beijing’s Belt and Road Initiative, so as to continuously enhance the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, D.Tsogtbaatar said
