Earlier today, the Mongolian Great State Khural (parliament) is holding an irregular session; this began at 3.00 p.m. Parliament has a tradition of holding united sessions on Thursdays and Fridays. However, this united session will be extended to Saturday (23 March).

During the course of the day, the lawmakers are due to discuss a batch of bills on taxation, an amendment to the mineral deposit laws and the replacement of the directors of some legislative institutions.
