The National Classic Powerlifting Championships were held at the Central Sports Complex on 18 March. Athletes competed in two ages categories. 17 years-old Ch.Anujin won the gold medal at the women’s +63 kg event and set a new world record after lifting 188 kg. This is the new record for all age and weight categories at the National Powerlifting Championships. Ch.Anujin took up the sport recently and is a member of the ‘Strong Club’. This week’s achievement shows she has the ability of claiming medals from Asian and World competitions.

In the men’s +74 kg category, B.Tsogt from Avarga high school sets a new record after lifting 235 kg.
