Mongolian Minister of Defence N.Enkhbold laid a wreath at the Chinggis Khaan statue in Chinggis Khaan Park, which is situated in the Cankaya district of Ankara during his visit to the Republic of Turkey on March 13-15.

In Ankara, N.Enkhbold participated in close and expanded meetings on defence sector cooperation and relations.

Among the various things on the programme was a familiarization session with the visit, the operations of the Turkish Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation, which supplies the country’s armed forces with military products. The defence minister also held meetings with Mongolian cadets studying in Ankara.

Trade, economic and humanitarian activities have been active between Mongolia and Turkey, which share a long history of friendly relations. Defence sector relations reached a new level of cooperation from 1999.
