Visiting the troops: Mongolian PM flies to South Sudan

A regular session of the Mongolian Cabinet was suspended today (13 March) due to the absence of Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh. As a rule, the ministers meet every Wednesday. A delegation led by the PM flew to South Sudan on Monday in order to meet Mongolian soldiers who has been participating in the UN peacekeeping operation in the African country.

The eighth batch, comprising 850 Mongolian peacekeepers have been serving in the United Nations Mission in South Sudan since 2012 when Mongolia started sending its soldiers to the country.

Previously, former President Ts.Elbegdorj visited South Sudan in 2013.
