From Nalaikh to New South Wales: cooperation agreement signed

A delegation of eight from Nalaikh City, which is part of the Mongolian capital, Ulaanbaatar, has visited in the Goulburn Mulwaree Council Chambers in Australia for a civic reception. The two sides signed an agreement of friendship and cooperation between Nalaikh City, and Goulburn Mulwaree Council.

The agreement affirms development of a 10-year relationship between the two cities based on friendship and mutual respect. The fundamental principle of the documents is to recognise and promote the rights of the people of Nalaikh City and residents of Goulburn Mulwaree to manage their own affairs and destiny.

Nalaikh is one of the nine districts of Ulaanbaatar and has a similar population to Goulburn Mulwaree, with over 28,000 residents. The two regions also share economic similarities, with both having a proud history in agriculture, and strong employment providers in areas such as mining and education.
