Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh received India’s Ambassador to Mongolia H.E. Mr. Mohinder Pratap Singh earlier today (26 February). During the meeting, Mr U.Khurelsukh noted that the Mongolian government is giving the utmost importance to developing the strategic partnership and political cooperation with India. The two countries have a long relation of culture and history.
In return, the ambassador promised to work on expanding and developing relations as well as cooperation between the two countries. He noted that Mongolia is an important friend and partner country for India.
In addition, the two sides discussed Mongolia’s first oil refinery which is being constructing in Dornogobi province with Indian aid. The project has opened a new page in the relations and cooperation between the two countries and, as such, will be a construction of historical importance.
The Indian Ambassador said that he will work on securing additional financing from the Indian Government and training Mongolian engineers as well as opening a representative office of Engineers India Ltd in Ulaanbaatar.
