South Korean technology to cut UB transport emissions

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea and the Ulaanbaatar Transport Department signed a memorandum today (14 February) on introducing diesel particulate filters (DPF), which should reduce public transport emissions by 85-97 percent.

In the framework of the memorandum, the highly efficient DPF filters of South Korea’s ‘Ceracomb’ company, will be installed on public buses. With 25 years of experience of manufacturing the filter, the company has, to date, introduced it to seven countries.

The filters were installed on four buses as a test last year and the results showed the emission being reduced by 50-60 percent.
