N.Tugstsogt, known as “King Tug”, has won the International Boxing Organisation (IBO) World Championship title and belt of after defeating Dominican boxer Claudio Marrero at a match held at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York on January 26th.
N.Tugstsogt (11-0, 10 KO) had to go the 12-round distance for the first time in his career, but got the job done and showed he has the stamina to last a full 36 minutes. Dominican boxer Claudio Marrero Guzman was the IBO and interim WBA featherweight champion.
Before turning professional in 2014, Mongolian boxer N.Tugstsogt had won the Silver medal in the Flyweight Boxing category at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Since turning professional in 2014, ‘King Tug’ has had ten fights, all of which he has won by KO (knockout).
